Maximus von Masburg is a beautiful, 3 year old Shepherd mix. Fluffy Maximus was relinquished with his sister by a loving family with children; he often went to the beach and even had his own birthday party! Times are rough for so many people who lost their homes this past year. His sister has been adopted and is doing well in her new home; it is time for him to find  his new forever family. Of medium energy and housebroken, he is a dream to walk. He comes out very happy to get going, pleased to be with his canine friends. He adores the people at the Rescue and wags his tail in greeting when he sees anyone walking by. He adores affection and, when he rubs his soft, fluffy body against you like a cat, you cannot help but pet him all over. If you offer him a treat, he accepts it with perfect manners.  He really likes play groups, where he enjoys socializing with other easygoing pups, whether male or female. (He has also done well meeting small dogs and cats so far) Maximus would thrive in a home with another dog and a backyard where they could be goofy together.
